Erin Byrne

When I was first asked to be a part of Broadway Hearts I was thrilled! Having the opportunity to meet all these wonderful kids and get to sing and laugh with them has been amazing.

For me, being a cancer survivor I know how frightening being sick can be. I was an adult when I was diagnosed and so I can’t even imagine what it feels like as a child. I received so many acts of kindness on my journey to recovery and now I am grateful I get to pay that forward. Without my friends, family and the Broadway community sending me their love it would have been a much harder process. With Broadway Hearts, we hope to share that same sentiment with the kids.

Our aim is to bring a feeling of joy and to brighten up their day if only for an hour. Being able to laugh and sing can help change your focus and I think it encourages healing! I feel lucky to be a part of it!

I am a Costume Designer currently working on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and have previously worked on movies and television such as Ocean’s 8 and Law and Order SVU. I got my start on Broadway where I met the founder of Broadway Hearts, Jessica Radetsky with whom I became great friends.  I am so grateful she included me in the Broadway Hearts family!

We feel so fortunate to have Erin as a part of our core team at Broadway Hearts, since it’s inception. She is integral to the success of the group, not only within our visits, but behind the scenes, helping to move the group forward with wonderful new ideas. Erin is an active board member of Broadway Hearts.
